Whether you’re stepping onto a board for the first time or looking for high-performance equipment for the local breaks, KYO Surf & Youth Hostel has you covered. We offer surfboard and wetsuit rentals in 2-hour sessions, plus lessons with local instructors for every skill level, just steps from La Cícer.
Surf Classes
Learn to surf with local instructors who know La Cícer inside out. Every class lasts 2 hours and includes your board and wetsuit.
Private Class
Your own instructor, your own pace. The lesson is built around you, whether you’ve never stood on a board or want to sharpen your turns. It’s the quickest way to improve.

Small Group Class
Learn together with a partner or friends while still getting plenty of one-on-one tips. A great balance between personal coaching and a fun, shared session.

Group Class
The social way to start surfing, and our best value class. You’ll learn ocean safety, paddling and how to pop up, then put it all together to catch your first waves.

Surfboard & Gear Rentals
One session is 2 hours with your gear, starting from when you pick it up at reception. Session packs can be used any day during your stay, whenever suits you, between 9 AM and 5 PM (last pick-up at 5 PM), subject to availability.

How to Rent
Renting is quick and easy at reception (open 9 AM – 9 PM). Here’s what you need:
- A signed rental agreement and liability waiver.
It confirms that you can swim, understand the risks of surfing, and will surf within your ability. - Valid ID or passport.
We’ll note your details on the rental agreement. - A credit or debit card for the deposit.
We place a temporary hold of €150 for soft-tops and wetsuits, or €300 for hardboards. It’s released as soon as the gear comes back in good condition. We accept Visa and Mastercard. - Age 18 or older.
Guests under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.
